1930's Spanish Oil Painting on Canvas, unsigned. 21" by 18" framed.
I am assigning this to the Social Realism movement between the two world wars. Looking at the waves and peasants waiting on the shore, I am thinking this to be a depiction of basque people around the Bay of Biscay near Bilbao. The area is known for the waves, the Basque tradtional dress is shown on the women, the oxen ... an educated guess!
From my personal collection, I acquired it in Madrid years ago.
