Vintage Bhutan Sash, Weaving
A wonderful and rare weaving from the tiny Himalayan constitutional monarchy of Bhutan. Buddhism is the state religion. Cradled in the folds of the Himalayas, Bhutan has relied on its geographical isolation to protect itself from outside cultural influences.
From my personal collections, I purchased it in Kathmandu in 1980 from a refugee. In the 1980's and 90's there was a small group of people who fled Bhutan for Nepal for political reasons.

Free delivery around the Lake Chapala area for purchases of $4000 pesos. We accept returns up to 7 days after the sale unless the items are sale priced, sorry, no returns on sale items. We previously delivered to Guadalajara for free but we no longer offer that service.
