Victor Higgins, Taos Study, ca. 1920's, oil on canvas, unframed

Peso Priced Item.  Original Oil Painting by Victor Higgins, Taos Study, ca. 1920's.   Frame is classic Mudejar Design from which I imported from Spain. 
Artwork measures 10.5" by 15".  
We're dating this in the 20's when he did most of his paintings that included American Indians.
The title "Taos Study' in carved into the stretcher on the back and it is also signed in script "V. Higgins" and the price $400 on the verso of the canvas. Some crazing, slight paint chipping.

William Victor Higgins was an American painter and teacher, born in Shelbyville, Indiana. At the age of fifteen, he moved to Chicago, where he studied at the Art Institute in Chicago and at the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts.
